Both positions are in-person with regular business hours and the possibility of occasional weekend duties. Starting immediately. Starting wage depends on experience. A full-time position includes benefits of insurance, retirement, holidays and vacation.
Office and Program Coordinator – full-time position: Provide office and administrative support for the daily operations of the Retreat House
Youth and Ministry Coordinator – part-time (approx. 20 hours per week) position: Youth and Ministry Coordinator: Handle the programming, outreach, and spiritual development of youth retreats, family retreats, and other new ministry efforts of the Retreat House

Office and Program Coordinator (full-time)
Qualifications
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Excellent computer skills, experience with Microsoft Office suite
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Experience in the hospitality industry a plus
- Experience in secretarial and office work a plus
Duties
- Maintain the day-to-day retreat house functioning and hospitality: communicating with retreatants, answering mail, phone calls and emails, handling requests and inquiries
- Learn to use the Retreat House booking software (Retreat Guru) and calendar for coordinating programs and spaces; to register, modify, and cancel retreatants
- Enter data for retreats and bookings
- Management and communication with support staff and relevant volunteers
- Print acknowledgement letters, schedules, etc.
- Help any visitors to the Retreat House
- Oversee the gift shop and restocking
- Maintain copier and office supplies
- Participate in staff and board meetings and occasionally take minutes
- Join in special projects and various other duties related to the office (packets, mailings, etc.)
Youth and Ministry Coordinator (part-time)
Qualifications
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Excellent computer skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Comfortable working with youth and young adults
- Experience in Evangelization, Youth ministry, or Teaching a plus
- Training in Theology, Spiritual Direction, or Prayer Ministry a plus
Duties
- Continue to develop the Retreat House youth retreats and outreach initiatives
- Communicate with schools, youth ministers, parishes regarding our youth retreats and / or outreach initiatives
- Develop new touchpoints / establish relationships with schools and within the Diocese of Lincoln and surrounding areas
- Organization of youth, outreach, and / or parish event programming; coordinate with youth ministers, schools, parishes through every step of the process: content, planning and design of youth programs
- Oversee communication, scheduling and logistics for such programing; provide administrative support (field phone calls and emails) regarding youth programming and outreach initiatives
- Manage and lead youth retreats: planning curriculum, securing speakers, and managing logistics
- Create and implement materials / curriculum for Youth Programming, including talks, activities, leadership needs and other functions
- Attend, assist and execute day-of needs and on the ground coordination of youth, young adult, and family programming before, during and after
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure facility usage is appropriately scheduled, along with budget / expenses, and thorough communication of program activities
- Coordinate with Retreat House Director in implementing new ideas for youth, families and other retreats; scheduling, creating curriculum and spiritually formative content

- Create content and resources for continued spiritual formation for youth, young adults and other target groups
- Develop creative and engaging ways for families to grow in faith after youth retreats or parish missions (i.e. family retreats)
- Establish effective partnerships with ministries externally
- Examples: Ablaze, Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, Salt + Light Young Adult Community, MHSF
- Give talks about the Retreat House and its mission to parish groups (Parish Council, Altar Society, Men’s Group, etc.)
- Create and organize outreach events and missions; develop creative ways to mobilize the Retreat House mission (Parish Retreats on the Road) – expansion to Western NE and other areas
- (optional, if trained) Give retreat talks, provide prayer ministry, and give Spiritual Direction as needed
- Manage the Volunteer Ambassador program, communication, training and scheduling of volunteer retreat ambassadors
- Assist as needed with other retreat hospitality needs, day-of planning and other functions for programs at the Retreat House
- Participate in staff meetings, advisory board, and event planning meetings
