The ‘Dark Night’ of St Mother Teresa with Karl Millis
Open Dates
with Fr. Karl Millis
Recordings include eight talks.
The retreat will examine Dark Night as taught by St. John of the Cross (and St. Teresa of Avila) by looking how this was experienced and understood by St. Theresa of Calcutta.
“This retreat will assume the attendee knows little or nothing about the Dark Night, and so we will start from basic teachings, and build upon those step by step,” says Fr. Millis, “thus making it understandable and approachable, without being overwhelmed.”
He continued, “This retreat is designed for all lay people and it is not a requirement to be a Third Order Carmelite to attend this retreat.”
Father Karl Millis was ordained in 1999 and served in the Diocese of Lincoln seven at St. Joseph in Auburn, St. Clara in Peru, and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton in North Platte. He now serves in the Archdiocese of Denver.
Father Millis has been a Third Order Carmelite for more than 30 years, and has studied Carmelite spirituality extensively in both Rome and the United States. He has helped to establish Third Order Carmelite groups in several parishes.
