Office Coordinator / Bookkeeper – Job Description
This opening is for an in-person position with regular business hours (with some flexibility) and benefits (insurance, retirement, holidays / vacation) starting around August 1, 2024.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Excellent computer skills
- Prior experience in Bookkeeping / QuickBooks and Excel
- Prior experience in Office Management preferred
Duties
- Answer phone, email and correspondence for the Retreat House (inquiries and registrations)
- Use QuickBooks to handle accounts, deposit payments and donations, pay bills, issue invoices, and work with vendors
- Use Paycor to process timekeeping, payroll, insurance and retirement benefits
- Complete yearly tax forms and sales tax payments
- Manage retreat calendar and staff schedule, enter data for retreats and bookings
- Manage support staff and relevant volunteers
- Handle some human resources tasks such as maintaining employee records, onboarding new employees, and helping with annual reviews
- Maintain copier and office supplies
- Help any visitors to the Retreat House
- Join in special projects and various other duties related to the office
