Oct. 30-Nov 1, 2026
with Magnificat Morning Star Chapter of the Diocese of Lincoln
Retreat starts Friday with rosary and Mass at 8:00pm, ends Sunday with Mass and Noon lunch.
Women’s Retreat
This retreat weekend is for women of all ages desiring a deeper personal relationship with Jesus Christ, including those who recently encountered a conversion, experienced renewal in the Holy Spirit. and those in the Catholic Charismatic Renewal (such as Magnificat) who desire refreshment.
The Life in the Spirit retreat will include talks about the Father’s intimate love for each person, and the opportunity to seek the healing Jesus has for all, and to learn about the gifts of the Holy Spirit and experience His empowerment. The retreat will include talks and personal testimony, small group discussion, times of praise and worship, and opportunities for silence and Eucharistic adoration, the sacraments, and prayer focused on stirring into flame the gifts of the Spirit.
Please note: due to the discussion and praise and worship music, this is not like a silent retreat typically held at OLGC Retreat House.
Rooted in the heart of Catholic charismatic renewal, Magnificat desire to renew women’s’ relationship with Jesus Christ and deepen their openness to the Holy Spirit and His supernatural gifts.
Our Lady of Good Counsel Retreat House offers a sanctuary of prayer and recollection on a spacious acreage near Waverly. There are 50 single rooms, each with a private bath.
We want our retreats to be accessible to everyone, please consider an additional donation, or contact the Retreat House to inquire about financial assistance or if your parish pays part of the cost. If the retreat you’re interested in is full, contact us to be put on a waiting list. A few double rooms are available upon request. Airport transportation to/from LNK or OMA is also available upon request.
In-person at the Retreat House, retreats include meditations by the retreat master, the sacraments of Eucharist and Reconciliation, the Liturgy of the Hours and other devotions, and opportunities for adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.
