Registration begins Friday at 4:30 p.m. with an option 5:00 p.m. fellowship meal (bring your own food). The evening begins with a 6-8 p.m. study and discussion of Bishop Conley’s pastoral letter on Eucharistic Adoration, followed by a time of prayer, adoration, and worship before the Holy Eucharist. The evening will conclude with a time to gather in friendship and refreshments.

Start your Saturday morning with time for registration and prayer at 8:30am. At 9:00 am the Full Board Meeting will begin. Saturday’s meeting will include Mass and lunch. Women of all ages can come either Friday, Saturday or both.

Carpooling available! Do you need a ride to the symposium? Please email Karen Dey at [email protected].

It is called a symposium because it contains opportunities for connection and discussion, not just a conference where one merely attends, or a retreat simply for prayer. Therefore, this is not silent like the regular retreats held at the Retreat House. It’s an opportunity for women to share a friendship in Christ with each other, by sharing their talents, ideas and zeal to serve the Lord in their parishes.

The LDCCW, under the direction of the diocesan bishop, provides for the spiritual and physical needs of others through prayer and action. The Council was founded in 1932 by Bishop Louis B. Kucera in an effort to unite all Catholic women in the diocese.

Our Lady of Good Counsel Retreat House offers a sanctuary of prayer and recollection on a spacious acreage near Waverly. There are 50 single rooms, each with a private bath.

We want our retreats to be accessible to everyone, please consider an additional donation, or contact the Retreat House to inquire about financial assistance or if your parish pays part of the cost.
