Through His Words: A Parish Scriptural Prayer Retreat
St Mary, Orleans NE
Saturday Dec. 6, 9am-3pm includes coffee and rolls and lunch for $10.
Fr. Gary Coulter, director of Our Lady of Good Counsel Retreat House in Waverly will share from his experience in directing Ignatian Retreats, on how to hear God’s voice in Sacred Scripture. On this silent day of reflection, you will learn how to do an Ignatian Prayer period and have quiet time for Lectio Divina meditation on scripture passages.
Good Counsel Retreat House is taking our retreats on the road. Contact us if you would like us to offer a one-day retreat at your parish that includes teaching on Ignatian Prayer, with guided meditations on scripture, time for Adoration and Confessions.
Retreatants are asked to bring a bible, journal and pen.
You’re invited to take a day for silence and prayer, a day we spent with Jesus in the gospels, a day of recollection and reflection, listening to Him in the silence of our hearts and in his words in scripture. A day to abide and rest in the Lord, allowing Him to speak by giving Him our attention.
