Fathers Know Best: Consecration to St. Joseph
Retreat for Men and Fathers on Sunday November 23 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (8:30am Coffee and Chat, 9am First Talk)
The event is a one-day retreat focused on some of the unique challenges fathers face while striving to build Christ centered-homes while cultivate a relationship with the Lord in the midst of everyday life and work.
St. Joseph, the earthly father of Jesus and the chaste spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary, will be examined as a model and example of family life. Catholics men of all ages are invited to entrust their spiritual well-being to the care and intercession of Saint Joseph.
Saint Joseph is a spiritual father, protector, and guide, offering a unique pathway to deepen one’s faith and commitment to living a holy life.
By consecrating oneself to Saint Joseph, individuals seek his powerful intercession for physical, emotional, and spiritual healing, as well as his guidance in achieving a closer union with God. Retreatants will be encouraged to begin a 33-day consecration to St Joseph starting Tuesday November 25, throughout Advent, culminating in Consecration on the Feast of the Holy Family (December 28 this year). Books will be available for sale.
The retreat will include talks and Sunday Mass, time for prayer and confession, lunch, discussion, and time for silence.
