Development Director
Our Lady of Good Counsel Retreat House is hiring for Director of Development, this is a full-time salaried position, although we might consider an hourly position 25-40 hours per week.
Reporting to and in partnership with the Retreat House Director, the Director of Development at Our Lady of Good Counsel Retreat House will spearhead development efforts to secure philanthropic support as OLGC Retreat House continues to grow.
Responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with the Retreat House Director and be part the Advisory Board and staff team.
- Create and implement a fundraising plan, including digital fundraising and marketing strategy.
- Network to identify and build relationships with new donors, and maintain relationships with major donors, existing supporters, and retreatants.
- Generate development materials, grants and case statements, and track their reporting and acknowledging.
- Establish a mix of donor sources, fundraising programs, monthly giving, and special events to attract and secure support from individuals, foundations, grants, and corporations.
- Oversee fundraising events and campaigns, such as the annual dinner.
- Support the marketing manager in content creation for monthly development newsletter, the annual report, appeal mailings, and other publications and messaging that may affect donor relations.
- Help keep the Bloomerang CRM database up to date and use to document donor interactions.
Qualifications:
- College degree
- Experience in non-profits and fundraising/development is preferred
- Demonstrated excellence in organizational, managerial, verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent computer skills a plus
