Faith of our Fathers

The Fathers of the Church were leaders in the early Catholic Church who were responsible for explaining, defending, and developing Catholic doctrines.

These men, many bishops and priests, but some lay men like St. Justin the Martyr, are known for their holiness of life and sound teaching such that they still provide both an example and teaching that speaks to us today.

Join us Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 pm at the Good Counsel Retreat Center in Waverly (just outside of Lincoln).  The day will include Sunday Mass, lunch and snacks.

While the speakers will talk from the perspective of younger men and dads of young children, men of all ages are still welcome to attend and sharing your experience in the discussions is appreciated.

The day includes reflections by a priest and fellow men, there will be times for Mass, confession, silent prayer time, but also community and discussion times.
