Walking with Mary to the Cross

Explore the Seven Sorrows of Mary and Total Consecration to Mary

Fr. Harlan Waskowiak
Mar. 15-17, 2024

Fr. Harlan Waskowiak, Pastor of St Joseph, Geneva and St Mary, Shickley, and chaplain at Camp Kateri Tekakwitha, will explore how devotion to Mary is lived in daily life. He will draw on his life experiences, Sacred Scripture, Papal writings and other authors especially the works of St. Louis de Montfort, True Devotion to Mary.

This retreat is a chance to discover the role of Mary more deeply in your own daily walk with Christ, especially through the practice of Total Consecration to Mary. All are invited to come on this Lenten retreat that will help highlight how God works, even through the crosses of Life, and Mary will be there.

Retreatants will also participate in and reflect on the Devotion to Our Lady’s Seven Sorrows.  No prior study or knowledge of this devotion is required.

A great retreat for those who already have a devotion to Mary or for Legion of Mary members, but also for anyone wanting to grow in a love for Mary: learn to pray for her intercession and to welcome her into our daily trials and sufferings.

In-person retreats include meditations by the retreat master, the sacraments of Eucharist and Reconciliation, the Liturgy of the Hours and other devotions, extended opportunities for silence and adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. A spirit of silence outside of meals and social times will be expected.
